As a designer, there is only so much a website and application can do for people. Technology is not going to create solutions to systemic issues. For that reason, when designing and conducting research, I see my work as a tool rather than a solution. I strive towards engaging in co-design, backed by a disability justice framework, centered on ensuring that impacted communities hold genuine decision-making power throughout every stage of the process.
